The journey visits eight houses designed by Gert Wingårdh. Two are his own homes; the other six are coastal villas, each with its own story and relationship to the landscape.

Wingårdh is both driver and narrator, while photographer Ida Magntorn documents the journey. Between the visits, the book includes his personal lists of favourite swimming spots, podcasts, food and music. It also meets the people who live in the houses and looks at how the buildings respond to the exposed west coast.

The book’s Swedish title is Allt enligt Gert.
